Olivia holds an LLM in International Human Rights Law from Essex University where she also spent time working as a Research Assistant and a BA in Arabic and Politics from SOAS University of London. Before joining us, Olivia worked and volunteered for various human rights organisations in the field of domestic violence, children’s rights and modern slavery in the UK, Australia and Jordan such as Rape and Domestic Violence Services Australia, Amnesty International, ECPAT UK and Leaders of Tomorrow.
She has extensive experience in writing and delivering high-level reports for governmental bodies on issues linked to victim’s rights and human rights. For instance, alongside Dr Muraszkiewicz, she recently undertook a review of the National Referral Mechanism for victims of human trafficking within the UK for the European Commission and is currently working on a project funded by the Irish Policing Authority on victims’ experience with the Garda Síochána.
As a recent migrant to Australia, Olivia loves exploring different beaches and walking and running with her puppy!
