About

Uniting Dubbo supports children and young people to maintain or find accommodation, and work towards a safe, independent and stable future. Uniting Doorways for Youth is a service for young people aged 16–24 years who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. Based in Dubbo, with outreach to Narromine and Wellington, Doorways focuses on giving realistic advice, manageable options and life skills to help young people move forward with confidence. Doorways works to assist young people with finding accommodation, keep their current housing, connect them with their community and support services in the Dubbo region, as well as equip them with the resources to discover their own path to independence. Uniting Reconnect helps children and young people aged 12–18 years reconnect with their family. We provide counselling, mediation, practical support and advice, and referrals to other services. If they need a place to live, we’ll also assist with finding suitable accommodation. Our services are free and confidential, and support children and young people from many cultural backgrounds, including young Aboriginal people.
