About
Samaritans is committed to providing young people at risk of or experiencing homelessness with the right opportunities and support. Our services include Samaritans Youth Transitional Accommodation Newcastle and Lower Hunter, which manages transitional accommodation properties in the Newcastle and Cessnock local government areas, providing young people aged 16–24 years with access to short-term, stable and affordable accommodation, along with outreach support from a caseworker. Samaritans Homeless Youth Assistance Program (HYAP) is a brokerage and support service for the community sector, supporting young people aged 12–15 years.
