Stepping Stone House provides a safe place for children and young people at risk or experiencing homelessness so they can begin to heal, build resilience, create connections and become the very best they can be. Many of our young people have experienced domestic violence, sexual and emotional abuse, alcoholism and drug addiction. Around 30% of our young people have been forced to leave home because of their sexuality. To support young people facing these difficult situations, long-term shelter and support programs are critical. Operating for over 35 years, Stepping Stone House is a dedicated community, providing long-term accommodation and support for young people aged 12 – 24 years old. Our unique model of care aims to move towards our vision to end child and youth homelessness in Australia.
